BOWLFEEDERS

CARLSON ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING

18” Diameter Hard anodized alloy bowl unit. Comes complete with hard tool steel and stainless steel escapement. Optic controls switch the bowl vibration on and off to prevent excessive wear and over-pressurization of escapement and tooling area’s as seen on other system manufacturers. A full acoustic cover with Lexan see through fill window on top completes the package. The cover can be raised to allow easy maintenance. Unlike most other bowl / screwfeed manufacturers we have no adjustment at all in out escapement and bowl tooling, this ensures continued feedability and reliability and removes the possibility of tamper style adjustment by untrained personnel.

10” Diameter Hard anodized alloy bowl unit. Unlike most other bowl / screwfeed manufacturers we have no adjustment at all in out escapement and bowl tooling, this ensures continued feedability and reliability and removes the possibility of tamper style adjustment by untrained personnel

24” Diameter Hard anodized alloy bowl unit. Designed for use with long fasteners up to 3.5” long is also available and has an Optional Lexan and aluminum extrusion cabinet It still features the same hard tool steel and stainless steel escapement. Optic controls switch the bowl vibration on and off to prevent excessive wear and over-pressurization of escapement and tooling area’s as seen on other system manufacturers. Again we have no adjustment at all in out escapement and bowl tooling, this ensures continued feedability and reliability and removes the possibility of tamper style adjustment by untrained personnel

  CUSTOM STAINLESS STEEL BOWL FEEDERS

Just like the 18” and 24” bowl feeder systems above CEM offers a complete range of Stainless steel bowl feeders to provide a feeding solution for those extremely difficult fasteners. This offering enables CEM to feed product which many other companies will not even attempt. The stainless steel bowls are generally more noisy than conventional alloy vibratory systems, so the optional cover is usually recommended. Again the system still features the same hard tool steel and stainless steel escapement.

  BULK HOPPER FEEDERS

Carlson Engineering have amassed decades of experience using vibratory bowl feeding principles for screws, studs, rivets etc. We have achieved great success with one of the most reliable, jam-free designs available.  We don’t use aluminum bowl tooling components in high wear area’s, we don’t use untreated soft alloy bowls, and we definitely don’t need quick “disassemble escapements”.... I guess they need that feature for some reason.  We offer tamperproof industrial quality escapements, based on sound engineering and customer feedback and desires over the years.

The hopper feeder is becoming a popular adder to the systems we produce due to longer “run time between fill” requests. We offer a 1.5, 2, 3 and 6 cuft. hopper as standard and can fit them with conventional paddle level switches or the new and well received optical non-contact bowl level sensors.

The rage of hoppers also have the option of enclosures to prevent the ingress of contaminants, quieten the noise levels and offers greater operator safety.

Here is an 18” diameter feeder system with a bulk hopper feeder attached and you can see the paddle switch tracking the fill level in the bowl.
