Type 1 automatic screw driving heads include a dual-stage travel slide, allowing the screw drivers to first advance to a part, and then advance the jaws after extending using separate jaw & bit transport strokes. Type 1 drive head slides are typically used for applications where a 1-2 axis arm is being used to lower the screwdriver to the part.
